Training Overview

Whether for workplace compliance, school requirements, or personal interest, our Red Cross First Aid and CPR C courses provide essential, practical life skills. These programs are designed to equip participants with the confidence and capability to respond effectively in medical emergencies.

When is Emergency First Aid Training required?

Under Regulation 1101 of Ontario’s Workplace Safety Insurance Act (WSIA), all workplaces covered by the WSIB must have specific quantities of first aid equipment, facilities, and trained staff. The specific requirements vary with the number of staff, with Emergency First Aid and CPR C being the minimum requirement for workplaces with five or fewer employees on-site at any given time.

Our course is offered in 2 formats to best suit your learning style and schedule: fully in-person over 2 days or in a hybrid format with online theory content and 1 in-person hands-on practice day.

Preparing for emergencies makes a life-changing difference, as these events can happen anywhere and at any time. After participating in this course, individuals can expect to leave confidently in their abilities to handle these situations through knowledge and practical skills. The material in this course provides the fundamental basics to providing immediate lifesaving care and promoting safety in any environment.

What’s Included?

Our training is divided into two main components: theory and practice.

• Theory: Flexible options for in-person or online learning to suit your schedule.
• Practice: Interactive, hands-on training sessions conducted either at your location or our facility.

Upon completion, participants will receive:

• Comprehensive Instruction: Detailed theory and knowledge evaluation covering First Aid and CPR C.
• Applicable Skills: Simulated scenarios using various equipment will make it easy to refer to repeated practice and transfer skills to address injuries and illnesses.
• Certification: Canadian Red Cross certification that meets Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) requirements.
