(Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
Our WHMIS 2015 Training equips workers with the knowledge and awareness required to handle hazardous materials in the workplace safely. Aligned with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and compliant with Ontario’s health and safety laws, this course is critical to an organization’s core safety training.
What’s Included?
The course is flexible and can be tailored to meet your organization’s unique needs. Participants can complete the theory portion through either in-person or online learning.
Regardless of the method, the course provides:
- Comprehensive Instruction: In-depth coverage of the required safety topics, including the purpose and structure of WHMIS 2015, including its alignment with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), Understanding hazard classes and categories, Recognizing and interpreting pictograms, signal words, and hazard statements, reading and applying information from supplier and workplace labels, Navigating and using Safety Data Sheets (SDS) effectively, Identifying potential routes of exposure and safe handling practices, Applying preventive measures, appropriate PPE, and emergency procedure
- Interactive Engagement: Opportunities for discussion or multimedia-based learning to enhance understanding.
- Certification: A certificate that meets OHSA requirements for WHMIS 2015
