Lockout Tagout (LOTO)

Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures are critical for preventing accidents during maintenance and servicing tasks due to the unexpected release of stored energy. Developed by CSA Standard Z460:20, this course will equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to safely control hazardous energy using tried and true LOTO methods, for which many industries have a legal requirement of implementation. This course will cover the essential principles of dangerous energy control, including identifying energy sources, correctly applying lockout/tagout devices, and safely isolating equipment. Other topics include hazard assessments, differences in individual and group lockout procedures, and alternate control measures to LOTO, all tailored to agricultural environments.
