Manitoba farmers, get ready to enhance your land’s environmental resilience with the Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program (RALP): Watershed Resilience. This exciting funding opportunity, which opened today, October 9, 2025, offers up to 100% reimbursement for eligible projects that enhance ecological goods and services (EGS) across agricultural landscapes.

Whether you’re restoring wetlands, improving water retention, or rejuvenating upland areas, this program supports long-term sustainability through strategic partnerships with Watershed Districts.

What’s Funded?

Eligible projects must implement Beneficial Management Practices (BMPs) that contribute to watershed resilience. Funding is available for:

• Agroforestry
  Support for establishing and maintaining agroforestry systems.
• Grasslands & Grazing Management
  Enhancing grasslands and improving grazing strategies.
• Natural Upland Area Rejuvenation
  Boosting the ecological function of upland areas.
• Riparian Area Enhancement
  Creating and enhancing healthy riparian zones.
• Water Retention & Runoff Management
  Managing surface water to improve watershed health.
• Wetland Restoration & Enhancement
  Restoring and enhancing wetland ecosystems.

Funding Highlights

• Up to $100,000 per application worksheet
• Multiple applications allowed per intake
• Each BMP requires a separate worksheet
• All expenses must be pre-approved and invoiced in the applicant’s name

Who Can Apply?

• Open to Manitoba Watershed Districts
• Projects must be located on agricultural land
• Participating farmers must have a valid Environmental Farm Plan Statement of Completion

• Applications Open: October 9, 2025
• Accepting applications until 11:59 p.m. on November 6, 2025
• Project Timeline: Projects must start on or after April 1, 2025 and be completed by September 30, 2026
