Through the Livestock Predation Prevention Program under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (SCAP), you can receive up to 75% cost-share funding (up to $40,000) to build predator-resistant fencing and protect your operation.

This program is designed to help producers implement non-lethal, practical solutions that keep livestock safe, reduce stress, and improve profitability.

What’s Covered?

The program supports practical solutions to reduce predation risks, including:

• Predator-Resistant Fence Construction
  Secure calving areas, pastures, and extended grazing zones.
• Deadstock Compost Pens
  Fence off mortality compost sites to reduce predator attraction.

Eligible costs include:
Labour, equipment use, rentals, materials, subcontractors, and PST.

Funding Details

• Up to 75% reimbursement of eligible costs
