This program is designed to help producers implement non-lethal, practical solutions that keep livestock safe, reduce stress, and improve profitability.
What’s Covered?
The program supports practical solutions to reduce predation risks, including:
- Predator-Resistant Fence Construction
Secure calving areas, pastures, and extended grazing zones. - Deadstock Compost Pens
Fence off mortality compost sites to reduce predator attraction.
Eligible costs include:
Labour, equipment use, rentals, materials, subcontractors, and PST.
